GMS was awarded contracts to provide, install and maintain two temporary chillers, one 150 ton air cooled chiller and one 60 ton air cooled chiller. The contracts were for six months to cover the hot summer months and maintain chilled water to two separate buildings at a government facility. The buildings served different purposes, one housed personnel and the other was an office environment with a mission critical data center. Both chillers were essential to maintain the functionality of the buildings. In the case of the barracks, the existing chiller had failed completely so the temporary chiller was the sole source of chilled water. For the office environment, the temporary chiller was brought in as a redundant source of chilled water to maintain the integrity of the operations carried out in the building.
